Getting Started — Future Spread Dashboard

A Futures Spread is a futures strategy where the buyer (seller) is looking to buy (sell) a further term futures contract and sell (buy) a closer term futures contract.

Overview

Select the Future Spread Dashboard icon on the left hand side bar of your Paradigm application.

Future Spread Table

At the top filter the table by combination of
Asset and Venue.

Table shows spreads as a combination of
row and column.

All Future Spreads are active. You can quote or execute any of the active Future Spreads.

All Future Spreads are anonymous. No desk information is sent to the counterparties.

Post a Market Order

Click on either Bid or Ask button in the
Future Spread box.

On the right side below Strategy Details select Market. By default the window opens with Limit order selected.

    Enter the quantity.

      You can change your side by clicking on the
      Swap button.

        Post a Limit Order

        Click on either Bid or Ask button in the
        Future Spread box.

        Confirm on the right side below Strategy Details that Limit order is selected. By default the window opens with Limit order selected.

        Enter the quantity and price.

          You can change your side by clicking on the
          Swap button.

          Open Orders

          Once you submit a Limit order it will appear in the Open Orders tab below Future Spread table.

          Each line contains an Open Order of yours.

          You can either Kill the order or Edit the order.

          1. When editing the order you can only change the quantity or price, not the side.

          Kill Desk Bids and Asks

          These buttons will appear in the top right corner above your Open Orders, if you or a member on your desk have one or more Open orders.

          By selecting these appropriate buttons you can cancel all your desk's outstanding bids, asks, or everything. This will cancel those orders, even if you did not originally send the quote.

          Executed Orders

          1

          There will be transitory toast notifications
          for executed orders.

          Please use the venue's "Trade History"
          to monitor and track executed orders.
